Mission Update (September 2016)

Posted on Sat Oct 1, 2016 @ 10:38pm by Captain Edward Pearson

Good evening everyone!

Another month has passed. We are now into October. How does time fly by so quickly? September was another very good month for us. We wrote a total of fifteen posts (thirteen normal ones and two personal logs). We also have so many posts that are currently being worked on. Keep up the good work. I might be slow in reading your posts, but I will get to them and I'm sure that I'll enjoy what I read as I usually do. I think I'm only two months behind at the moment but I'm making it a priority this month to try and catch up. Reading is not my forte which is really bad if you consider i'm trying to get an astronomy degree. Anyhow, here's the monthly update. There are a few things that I will be bringing up so please give it a read through.

Current Mission
Upon being notified that Endeavour was being followed by an unidentified probe, Captain Pearson had the senior staff recalled from their New Year’s party. The ship was then brought to a complete stop. The bridge crew analyzed their sensor readings and came up with a plan to distance themselves from the probe, but when they enacted it and returned to warp, they found that the probe just did not want to leave the ship’s wake. With no other option available to them, the Captain ordered the probe to be brought aboard so that they could look into the problem more closely.

Coming Up and What You Can Do
There's currently a big joint post being worked on by the engineering and science peeps with the probe. Something will happen in that post that will affect everyone on the ship. Once it happens and the post is sent out, I will notify everyone about what's going to happen next. Aside from that, you guys still have a period of like a week to RP in between the dates of December 23rd to December 31st. Please make use of it! You can always write with someone you've never written with before.

MIA People
Both Coop and Denver have informed of real life stuff that are keeping them away but there are a handful of people who have gone really quiet with no word at all. It's not difficult to request an LOA if you need it. Just let me know and I'll change your status on the roster page. Simple as that. Please be courteous and tell us if you need to take some time for yourself. Real life is more important than this game, but at the same time it's not cool to keep people waiting especially if they don't know what's up. I'm more receptive and understanding of people who communicate with me than those who do not. So please drop me a line. I don't bite.. and I don't have a dog on the ship who can bite... not that Porthos would.. he was a nice dog.

Brief Absence
Karen and I will be away next weekend, October 7-9, as we are going to Destination Star Trek Europe! While I'm probably not as excited as previous years, I am going to get the chance to meet three actors whom I really admire (Robert Duncan McNeill who played Tom Paris, Alexander Siddig who played Doctor Julian Bashir, and lastly Walter Koenig who played Pavel Chekov). I'll be meeting a few more but those are the main ones for me this time around. There was an episode with Paris that really helped me get through a bad time in a previous relationship so.. yeah.. he's one of my fave characters. And no it wasn't the lizard episode LOL. I don't know if anything from that episode would help anyone (I'm not hating on it). Anyhow, you can still contact us if need be.. we'll have our phones with us.

I'm not sure I really have anything else to really add for this month. Oh, we did win the sim of the second quarter for 2016 which most of us already know about. Congrats again everyone! Other than that, please get to your posts as quickly as possible. Let's keep the activity high. I want to see another fifteen posts for October. Have a good month!
