Mission Update (November 2016)

Posted on Thu Dec 1, 2016 @ 6:47pm by Captain Edward Pearson

Hello everyone!

It's now December! How crazy is that? Time certainly flies. November wasn't as good a month for us as previous months. We completed a total of six posts which is a sharp fall from the twenty-seven we did in October. I'm not unhappy with what we've done however I do think that we can do much better. I'd like to see us complete ten posts in December. I am currently involved in ten posts so I do think it's possible for us to achieve this, if not more. There is alot we can do in the day to day lives of our characters, and we have a number of NPCs to work with. Don't hesitate to post with each other. I encourage it! Do some character building. Oh, I do know that there are still a couple of you who have not written up your visions yet. This month would be a great time for you to get that done and out of the way. If you're having trouble coming up with an idea, just send me a PM and we can work together to figure something out.

The Mission: Recap
For what seemed like the briefest of moments, every member of Endeavour’s crew experienced a vision based on a previously unknown truth related to them in some way. Following the incident, Captain Pearson concurred with his crew that they should get the alien probe off of the ship as quickly as possible. It was decided that to stop it from following them, that they would remove the engine and then return it where it was originally found. The Captain has given his Engineering and Science Departments a total of four hours to accomplish this, as well as to find out anything that they can about the probe itself. Unbeknownst to them at this time, the female members of the crew were beginning to experience headaches to varying degrees.

INSTRUCTIONS: For the remainder of January 1st, 2157 after 0830 hours, all female crewmembers aboard Endeavour will begin experiencing headaches ranging from mild to severe. They shouldn't be incapacitating people, but I will leave it up to you writers to determine how your characters react to them. Again, this affects only the female members of the crew.

I'm hoping to move the mission forward this month. Karen (Sherebrook) and I need to finish up our post in Sickbay and then the post we do after that (which we'll hopefully do this weekend) will set things up for January 2nd. Once we get there, I will give you guys further instructions. If anyone wants to make an additional NPC to get involved, preferably a female NPC, then just let me know!

I'd like to see more people using the Chat Box! Matt and I are usually the only ones in there although Greg has popped in a couple of times. Come and say hello. Let's talk Star Trek! Come up with ideas for posts! You can also use the chat from your phone by the way. It's a great way to get to know your fellow players.

That's about it for this month. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

J.P. / Captain Edward Pearson
