He has short brown hair and blue eyes. As far as he is aware, Eddie does not have any other distinguishable marks on his body.

While he is on duty, Eddie will always keep himself looking orderly. Due to his hair being so short, it’s always easy enough for him to keep it manageable. He will also always be clean shaven. Personality & Traits

General Overview Pearson fully embodies what it is to be ‘Canadian’. He is friendly, helpful towards others and outgoing above all else and will not hesitate to make certain that everyone around him is having a good time during social occasions. Despite the short period of time following the incident that occurred under his watch on the Freedom, Eddie does his best to maintain a positive attitude. Generally he is also happy with his life as a whole. When it comes to being a Starfleet Officer, Pearson has become more determined and serious about his job as a high ranking officer in the fleet, and more so as a representative of Earth. He takes that aspect of his work very seriously. For as long as he can remember, Eddie has always had an open mind about everything. He won’t usually judge someone or something until he has all the information available to him. With that being said, he still does have a slight naivety as a result of the limited interaction that Humans have had with the other species of the galaxy. Eddie is an approachable leader, wanting to have as much contact as possible with every member of his crew no matter what rank they hold. He knows that in order for them to believe in him as their commanding officer, that he needs to show them that he cares about them, and that they are an important part of his life.

History Edward Pearson was born on April 27th, 2118 in Hamilton, Ontario. He was the youngest of his siblings. His father Charles worked in a production facility that made parts for Starfleet datapads while his mother Marianne stayed at home to take care of their three children.

From a very young age, Eddie became interested in sports. As ice hockey was renowned to being ‘Canada’s game’ it made sense to get him interested in that sport in particular. When he was old enough, Eddie went through skating lessons and he was eventually signed up to play hockey.

For the most part, Eddie had a rather ordinary life as a child. He was always well taken care of and loved by both of his parents. He’d always done relatively well at school averaging grades in the 80s or 90s. It could be said that during this period of his life, Eddie was rather indifferent to the prospect of life in space. While it was something that was talked about quite often amongst his peers and on the news in general, it simply seemed to be an aspect of his normal everyday life. Obviously, that would change as he got older and past his teenage years.

In the 2130s, there was much hype surrounding the Warp Five Program as several important breakthroughs were made that promised to, one day, equip Starfleet’s space vehicles with the fastest engines to date. Naturally, all of the excitement stimulated the imaginations of a generation of young men and women. Eddie was one of these people and when he was eighteen, he enlisted into Starfleet Academy. It wasn’t a difficult decision for him to join Starfleet in the first place mostly because Eddie knew and understood that humankind’s future was in the stars. While being in Starfleet felt like the right thing to do, it wouldn’t be until years later that he would find and understand his true purpose for heeding the call of the cosmos.

Edward graduated from the Academy in the year 2140. He enjoyed many of the facets that encompassed Starfleet as a whole. He enjoyed the sciences and he had even gone through a few pilot training courses. In the end, he ended up deciding on a career in the tactical division. Contrary to many Armory Officer, Eddie wasn’t an uptight thug and he wasn’t really one of those people that just enjoyed shooting an EM pistol for kicks. He was one of those people who stood up for the little guy and protected them with his life.

Immediately following his graduation Eddie was promoted to the rank of Ensign and assigned to the Freedom as an armory officer. Two years later, his dedication to duty had earned him a promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade. By 2145, Eddie had earned himself a promotion to full Lieutenant and he was reassigned to the position of Chief Armory Officer.

It was three years later that Eddie would finally come to understand his purpose in Starfleet. While the Freedom was transporting delegates from the Lyssarian Prime Conclave back to their homeworld, the ship was attacked and boarded by a Xantoran militant group. In the subsequent altercation that occurred on the Freedom, Eddie and his armory officers were not able to protect the Lyssarian delegates due to overwhelming forces. Having done what they sought out to do, the Xantorans left the Freedom with three dead politicians in their care.

From that moment forward, Eddie came to the realization that more needed to be done to ensure the safety of one’s crew and the overall safety of the Federation. If alien forces could be allowed to just waltz onto any of their ships to take out their targets, well.. what hope was there for any of them?

On the Freedom, Pearson began to introduce stricter policies for his department although not all of them would be allowed at the behest of his commanding officer. While this caused Eddie to be angry and frustrated at his CO, it also served to keep him in check from doing anything too drastic. Over time, when his passions cooled, Eddie returned to his former amicable self although he made it a point to never forget what the Xantarans did to them.

After Pearson was promoted to Lieutenant Commander in 2149, he felt as if he had more to offer Starfleet than being a mere Armory Officer. He began to look at the options available to him as a career officer in the fleet. Realistically, there was only one route for him to choose from and, with his Captain’s blessing, Eddie began command training.

It did not take very long for Eddie to finish his training either. After only two years, where he had to commute to and from Earth on several occasions, Pearson would complete his training. Soon thereafter, he was promoted to full Commander and reassigned to the Olympus as its Executive Officer. While Eddie hated leaving a ship he’d been on for the majority of his young career, and leaving his friends in particular, he saw the move to the Olympus as a necessity in order to continue his career.

Pearson would serve aboard the Olympus for a total of five years. During that time, several major events occurred involving Earth and its allies. The first series of warp five starships were launched in 2151 (Enterprise) and 2154 (Columbia). Earth became more invested in the conflicts plaguing the regions near it such as the Vulcan-Andorian entanglements and the Tellarite-Andorian disagreements. In 2153, Earth would be attacked by xenophobic aliens known as the Xindi. A probe attacked the planet, killing over seven million people from Florida to Venezuela. Once the Xindi crisis was dealt with, Earth joined forces with Vulcan, Andoria, Tellar Prime and others to form the Coalition of Planets. After several unprovoked attacks by the Romulans late in 2155, the Coalition declared war on the Star Empire.

In early 2156, as the war situation with the Romulans was improving, Pearson was abruptly reassigned from the Olympus to oversee the final months of construction for Starfleet’s latest NX-Class Starship, Endeavour. When construction of Endeavour was completed in late May and Captain Winchester declined to take command of her, the position was offered to Eddie who accepted. With his new assignment, he was promoted to the rank of Captain.
